'The Siren'

Part of my SCRIMSHAW collection, this necklace features a hand engraved depiction of a Siren (or Mermaid)  lurking in the shallows. A very prevalent and long lasting myth, the siren uses their song and their beauty to lure sailors and adventurers to an early grave. 
This pendant could be worn to reflect the danger and risk of our lives but also the excitement and acts of heroism, such as Odysseus saving his crews lives when they encounter the Siren's. Personally I have a soft spot for the more piratey and 1700s mythos of them! 
Made completely by hand from recycled Sterling Silver and featuring an articulated bail, 18inch belcher chain and oxidised contrasting engraving, this necklace would make the perfect gift for any lover of Oceans and Adventure!!
